Karmakamet Diner | Bangkok

9:40:00 PM

Karmakamet started as an aromatics store in Thailand and has expanded and opened this cafe called 'Karmakamet Diner' in Sukhumvit, behind Emporium Shopping Mall! This place is a hidden gem, I mean the location was really hidden and hard to find! 😅

The cafe was near to BTS Phrom Phong and just about 5-8 minutes walk. You will need to walk pass the Hotel Emporium Suites and open your eyes widely to spot their sign board because it was not easy to spot and we actually got lost fml. My advise is, if you're not sure where it is, don't just walk blindly. Use Waze or Google Maps!

We went there without any reservation and of course, there was no table for us😂 So while waiting, we stroll around the cafe and take some photos as the cafe was really really really stunning! I actually had a hard time choosing which photo to upload because I have too many pretty photo of this cafe!

As you can see, the cafe was not too spacious and they don't have much table so it's better to make a reservation before going. *lessonlearned

Fake a candid 😜

After 20 minutes of waiting, we finally got our table and we were seated outdoor which I quite like because outdoor was a good spot to take nice photos accompanied with natural sunlight ☀️

And thank god, it wasn't too hot to be seated outside 🙏

The decoration of this cafe was just so on point! There are even Karmakamet newspapers and coasters on the table that was printed with a handwritten letter between Edge and Som! Som is one of the co-owners of Karmakamet Diner. The letter was just so heartwarming omg 😍

Just to show off my DIY nails HAHAHAHA! #shameless

For the main course, I go for the Poached Duck Eggs with Gravlax on Karmakamet Ratatouille.

Indeed, the poached were so prefect but the Gravlax just didn't caught my taste bud. It tasted pretty strange to me 😭

The Angel Hair Pasta with Cod Roe! They say you can never go wrong with cod roe but this dish was just ordinary for me. Still, it was better than my Gravlax thou. Cod Roe wins HAHAHA!

And finally the highlight of the day and the reason why we were there! The Strawberry In The Clouds!!! It was so popular and hyped on social media that you probably saw it before lolll. When I first saw it, I was like I MUST GO THERE I DONT CARE!!!

The rainbow cotton candy comes with a small cup of shortcake, walnut crumbles and some ice-cream.😋

What I see from internet are much more colourful, like the color which are more contrast but mine was quite light I guess? But still super pretty ok! Pastel is love! 😍😍😍

It's such a gorgeous and instragammable dessert but it was totally a mess to eat and the taste was pretty average too. The cotton candy can make your hand really sticky and TBH, this dessert was pretty expensive, about 390+ thb. Even pricier than my main course fml but it will be such a waste if we came all the way here and did not try this star dessert out right? 😏

Bf makes this love shaped cotton candy for me HAHAHAHAHHA!

No doubt, it was such a beautiful and charming cafe! Every corner of the cafe are photo worthy and their services was great too but, the food was just average and it wasn't cheap I would say? I might think twice again if I would revisit them or I might just skip the Rainbow Cotton Candy Dessert next time. Oh, heard that their Spicy Crab Pasta was good thou and you might like to try them out heheh!
